★★ Little Green Book of Getting Your Way, by Jeffrey Gitomer

I was rather disappointed with this book. Perhaps, it is the fact that many of the concepts in the book are not anything new. Maybe it was the repetitive use of long lists with the eccentric "n.5" number at the end. Or, maybe it was just plain boring. If this was the first book on persuasion you have read, it may be useful. Otherwise not.

★★ Little Red Book of Sales Answers, by Jeffrey Gitomer

I don't know why Gitomer rubs me the wrong way. I guess it has to do with the book being sale-sy, instead of providing a meaningful analysis of the issues involved in sales. Very little about marketing is covered in this book and it makes it seem that sales is divorced from the rest of the company, which is not how it should be. Books like this are primarily cheerleading books meant to drive a particular viewpoint, and it helps only those who can be successful in the context in which the book operates.
